Dr. Thomas Kerr, is Co-Director of the Urban Health Research Initiative at the British Columbia Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS (BC-CfE), and a Professor of Medicine at the University of British Columbia. Dr. Kerr is a principal-/co-investigator of studies involving people who use drugs and individuals living with HIV/AIDS in Vancouver and elsewhere internationally, including in Thailand, the U.S., Russia and Australia. Dr. Kerr was a principal investigator of the scientific evaluation of Insite, North America’s first safer injecting facility.
