The next installment of the HIV/AIDS Webinar will feature a discussion about starting HIV treatment by Dr. Marianne Harris from the HIV/AIDS Research Program (St. Paul’s Hospital) and Jonathan Postnikoff from Positive Living BC. They will discuss:
- The BC guidelines for antiretroviral (ARV) treatment
- The timing of ARV treatment initiation and recommended choices for first-line HIV treatment
- Appropriate clinical and laboratory monitoring of patients receiving ARVs
- Treatment and challenges in starting ARV therapy from the perspective of HIV-positive people
