Results from the Clinical Education and Training Program at the BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS (BC-CfE) was on display this week at a national conference on medical education.
Dr. Silvia Guillemi, who is the clinical education and training director at the BC-CfE, shared work related to the intensive HIV Preceptorship Program at this week’s Canadian Conference on Medical Education in Ottawa, ON.
Offered in collaboration with Vancouver Coastal Health as part of the STOP HIV/AIDS initiative, the unique preceptorship program is available to family physicians and nurse practitioners who want to enhance their skills in the management and treatment of patients with HIV/AIDS. The condensed program is based on the traditional three-month preceptorship offered by the BC-CfE, and is also available to Interior Health and Vancouver Island Health Authorities.
The CCME is the premier medical education conference in Canada and hosts the largest annual gathering of medical educators in the country.
